Dear AARO Members,
This month's 3rd Thursday is tomorrow, 15th June. Once again, we will
meet at Restaurace Svet, Jecna 5, Prague 2 from 6pm.
If the weather is like it was today, we'll be outside in the courtyard.
Oh, and if the fact that there are five Thursdays this month caught
you out, well it almost did me too!

Dear AARO Members,
As many of you know, AARO Prague member Cameron Munter, Deputy
Chamber of MIssion for the US Embassy here in Prague, was assigned to
a Government Provincial Reconstruction team in Mosul, Iraq in January
of this year.
It may interest members to know that Cameron is writing regular
bulletins about his experiences which offer a rare and sharply-
focused glimpse of the realities in today's Iraq, together with a wry
humor that reveals much between his wonderfully written lines. These
letters are posted on the American Embassy website and can be

Dear AARO Members,
You are cordially invited to this year's AARO summer picnic, to be
held Saturday June 24th at the home of AARO President Bill Harter and
his wife Hana.
Commencing at noon, you are welcome to come and enjoy a sumptious
barbeque, refreshments and drinks until 4pm, in the delightful
surroundings of the Harter's large patio and garden, up on the hill
in Prague 5.
You are encouraged to bring guests, especially those who may be
interested in Joining AARO. We politely request that a cover charge
of 400 czk per guest be submitted at the event. There is no charge
for paid-up AARO members. Family members are welcome to bring their
children.

Please rsvp without delay to this address. Cut-off for rsvps will be
Friday 16th June.
Travel directions by car and public transport will be provided to all
respondents in good time.
