Welcoming AARO Members back after the summer, we are happy to present
the smash hit comedy Knocked Up from director Judd Apatow (Anchorman:
The Legend of Ron Burgundy; The 40 Year Old Virgin; Talladega Nights:
The Ballad of Ricky Bobby).
Contented party-animal-slacker Ben stone (Seth Rogen) and ambitious
career-girl Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl) have what both assume will
be a one-night stand, only to find eight weeks later that Alison is
pregnant. When Alison decides to keep the baby, Ben is forced to
confront his hedonistic outlook and decides to "do the right thing",
only to find that Alison is reluctant, due in part to the rotten
example of marriage set by her control-freak sister Debbie (Leslie
Mann) and her wimp of a husband Pete (Paul Rudd).
What seems like a familiar and predictable set-up is handled with
masterful skill by director Apatow, bringing a sharp comic timing and
true ear for dialogue that made this movie one of the biggest hits of
the summer.

Variety: "Knocked Up" is uproarious. Line for line, minute to minute,
writer-director Judd Apatow's latest effort is more explosively
funny, more frequently, than nearly any other major studio release in
recent memory."

New York Times: ""Knocked Up" made me smile and wince; it made me
laugh and almost cry. Above all it made me happy."

AARO MEMBERS' NOTE:
There will be an informal discussion from 7:30pm in the screening
room, during which AARO President Bill Harter and the AARO Board
would like to obtain Member's views on the future of AARO Prague,
what Member's expect and would like to see from the group and, not
least, the low Member support for several of the events organized for
them during 2007. Members are urged to attend and contribute to this
discussion even if they cannot stay for the movie.
